Bayside Community Information and Support Services

BayCISS is a volunteer based organisation that provides free confidential information and referral service; child care programs and support services to lower income and disadvantaged families and individuals; family counselling and crisis and emergency food relief. Due to increased emergency crisis the Tattersall's George Adams Foundation has provided assistance towards food and general household needs.

Australian Crohns and Colitis Association

The Association is the peak patient body representing people with inflammatory bowel disease and provides education and information about the disease. There are increasing numbers of young sufferers of this potentially debilitating disease. Our support towards a   'Pilot Youth Camp' focuses on physical, emotional, psychological and social development to ultimately improve quality of life of these young sufferers. www.acca.net.au

The Bionic Ear Institute

The Bionic Ear Institute is a medical bionics research organisation which pioneered the development of the Bionic Ear (cochlear implant). The Foundation’s support towards the Institute will enable further research into how pitch can be encoded in cochlear implant systems which will ultimately allow users to hear and appreciate melody in music and to perceive voice pitch.  www.bionicear.org

Dingley Community Advice Bureau

For 23 years the Dingley Village Community Advice Bureau has provided family support services to its local community. Due to increasing demand our support has allowed the Bureau to provide food to those seeking welfare through their 'Food Pantry' program.

White Lion

Whitelion's Young Women's Support Service assists young women who have experienced or at risk of experiencing the Youth Justice System. These women aged 14-25 years are generally from broken homes, involved with alcohol and/or drugs, low self esteem, lack of education, mental illness, abuse etc. Whitelion works to inspire and empower disconnected young people by providing positive relationships and life-changing opportunities while support their progress toward life goals. The Tattersall's George Adams Foundation is supporting to re establish these women back to the general community after extended periods of time in custodial centres. www.whitelion.org.au

Statewide Autistic Services

Statewide Autistic Services supports more than 340 clients with a range of intellectual disabilities, the majority suffering from autism disorders with challenging behaviours. Their new facility in Seaford provides an 'outdoor activities centre' which the Foundation's donation enabled the purchase of an in-ground trampoline and shade sails. Outdoor activities is an important part of the clients daily program and is proven to assist those with extremely challenging behaviours, reduce weight gain and improve general health. www.sasi.org.au

Montrose Access

Montrose Access provides therapies, respite and social services to children and young adults with physical disabilities. Many of these children do not have the ability to walk and use wheelchairs for mobility. The Foundation is supporting seed funding to operate a new Wheelchair Seating Clinic to assist in the prevention of spinal curvature and associated complications resulting from ongoing muscle deterioration.  The clinic, through keeping the spine straight as it grows, will avoid or minimize costly and painful spinal surgery for these young children. The benefits of this treatment method when proven could be very significant.  www.montroseaccess.org.au

Action for Community Living

Leadership Plus is a program under the umbrella organisation of Action for Community Living. Leadership Plus develops the capacity of leaders with disabilities through integrated leadership programs, promotes their leadership potential to governments, business and communities. The Foundation is donating funding towards a new leadership model that will include other marginalised groups such as the indigenous. www.leadershipplus.com

National Trauma Research Institute

National Trauma Research Institute is one of Australia's leading research centre's whose goal is to improve survival and quality of life for people who have suffered a trauma injury. The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundations support has enabled the Institute to research the rate of Deep Vein Thrombosis formation in patients with Traumatic Brain Injury in the Intensive Care environment. www.ntri.com.au

Fitted for Work

The aim of the service is to help long term unemployed and disadvantaged women obtain work, maintain employment and ultimately achieve financial independence. Trained volunteers work with clients to select appropriate outfits and assist with presentation and interview skills. Our support has enabled the organisation to employ a full time Executive Officer to ensure continued provision of information, support and training. www.fittedforwork.org

The Alfred Hospital

The Foundations support enables the establishment of a purpose built memorial garden to honour the men and women of The Alfred who served the nation in all the wars and civil emergencies. www.alfred.org.au

The Gawler Foundation

The Gawler Foundation focuses upon the needs, health and emotional well being of people affected by cancer. They offer numerous programs and services. Our support has allowed disadvantaged patients the opportunity to participate in their residential and non-residential programs who would otherwise not afford participation. www.gawler.org

Cabrini Hospital

Foundation 49 is a men's health organisation based at Cabrini Health in Malvern.  The Foundation's mission is to reduce the number of men who die from preventable conditions by raising awareness and encouraging regular health checks.  Tattersall's George Adams Foundation support towards their Decades of Life Program will allow Foundation 49 to take their online health assessment to workplace settings across Australia in order to identify risks and early warning signs of major diseases and other conditions. www.49.com.au

St Mary's House of Welcome

St Mary's House of Welcome is a day drop-in centre providing meals, recreation activities, outings, information and referral, emergency relief and a sense of community for people, who have experienced, or experiencing, homelessness. The Tattersall's George Adams Foundations support has enabled the creation of education and training areas, which is part of redevelopment works to their facilities. www.smhow.org.au

Lions Village of Licola

The Lions Village Licola runs camps for disadvantaged and disabled children. The camp has been beleaguered by bushfires, a mudslide and floods causing much damage. The Foundation's support will help replace outdoor education equipment with disability features lost throughout a disastrous last twelve months. www.licola.org.au

Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists

The Tattersall's George Adams Foundation supports research projects with the Australian New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, an independent medical college which cultivates and maintains good practise in relation to anaesthesia and promotes the study of science and research. www.anzca.edu.au

Myeloma Foundation of Australia

In Australia, there are approximately 6,000 people living with the incurable blood cancer Multiple Myeloma. The Myeloma Foundation provides information, education and support programs for patients and their carers. The Tattersall's George Adams Foundation's support will assist in producing an interactive on line communication system which will bring support to patients in smaller regional and remote areas of Australia. www.myeloma.org.au

Country Fire Authority

The Foundation has enabled the Stawell Rural Fire Brigade to purchase a 'command vehicle' to be used as a second fire fighting support unit.  Specifically it will be used to carry specialised CFA equipment and for crew changeovers. www.cfa.vic.gov.au
